Custom Combustion Systems
Design, drawing, part selection, assembly, installation, and commissioning from a name you trust.
Your Solution for the Safe Transmission of Flammable Gases
Our seasoned engineering and technical staff can aid in the design, drawing, parts selection, assembly, installation, and commissioning of your next combustion system. Whether NFPA86, CSA, EN-746 (CE), or another code or standard, we’re ready to help you meet your compliance requirements.
Buy the Package or Pick and Choose
Already have a design team, but you need someone to help pick and provide the parts? Or maybe you have a capable crew of technicians but you’re looking for help on the engineering side? Do you need the design, drawings, and parts, but prefer to handle the installation and commissioning yourself? Our services are available separately or packaged.
Design
Natural gas pulse-firing is our specialty, but we have extensive experience with modulating gas systems, premix, oxyfuel, and more. We’ve worked on ladle pre-heaters and reheaters, tunnel kilns, bakery ovens, aluminum melters, crematory equipment, and all things combustion. You supply the application details and requirements, and we do the rest.
ESA also offers complete combustion systems, and we’re proud to be their representative in North America.
Controls
Custom designed and prewired control panels are part of our offering. We are trained and use the latest PLC, HMI, and loop controllers from companies like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Eurotherm, Omron, Modicon and more – but we’re just as comfortable with relay logic if that’s the ideal solution for your control requirements. With in-house programing and flame safety integration, we’re your one stop. Check out our Control Panels page for more information.
Drawing
Your combustion drawings are safe in our capable hands. Whether you need combustion, electrical, or mechanical drawings or updates, we can handle your request using state of the art software (and deliver the file type of your choice).
Parts Selection
We are proud to offer ESA’s full line of burners, flame safety, and complete combustion systems. We’re just as proud to offer Elektrogas valves! We are honored and fortunate to represent these manufacturers in North America, and we’re committed to offering their quality products wherever they fit your application and code requirements. We’re always happy to talk about our preferred suppliers. Contact us for more information.
Assembly
We’re no strangers to specific requirements and tight schedules. We can offer fully or partially assembled manifolds, loosely delivered on pallets or in crates or as complete skids meant to be dropped in place and tied-in. Pre-wiring is also available. We assemble manifolds in-house at our facility in Kent, Ohio, where we have on-site welding, machining, and painting capabilities. Kent is home to over a dozen independent machine shops and at least half as many welding houses, meaning we always have options. We’re also right down the road from powder coating facilities.
Skids are also available from ESA! For some jobs, it just makes sense to have everything assembled at ESA’s facility prior to shipment.

Testing
We’re happy to test pipe manifolds to the required standard here in Kent. Would you like a written test report? Photos? Video? Would you like to visit our facility to witness the testing? Any or all of this can be arranged.

Codes and Standards
Our engineers are proud members of NFPA, and our expertise extends to encompass the globe. We’ve spent countless hours designing compliant systems for the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Our combustion systems are installed in plants for automotive, brick, ceramic, steel, specialty metals, food, textiles, paper, wood, and many more.
Automation
Many of our combustion projects combine elements of automation, so don’t hesitate to include this in your project details. If you’d like additional information regarding our automation experience and expertise, please visit Olstrad.com, dedicated to our automation work outside of combustion, or give us a call.
