Recently, members from the team at Olsträd Engineering attended the Spring 2022 STEM Career Expo at Youngstown State University. Hundreds of students from a variety of disciplines in STEM fields attended the event.
The event started slowly, but as the day progressed, students filed in and kept our team busy answering questions. Students responded well when they learned about our company culture and what kinds of projects we work on.
One thing that helped Olsträd stand out was our use of digital business cards. Students were surprised at first to learn we weren’t handing out any business cards or fliers, but became intrigued once they realized they could access Olsträd at any time on their phones.
This is a major focus for our company— reducing paper use in order to limit waste and reduce our carbon footprint. Many students gave positive feedback, and the idea seemed to resonate well.
We spoke with many quality prospective interns and found the expo to be an overall success. We’re glad so many students took interest in Olsträd Engineering, and are looking forward to the opportunity to get to know them better.
