We recently had a visit from FM Approvals at our Kent, Ohio facilities to witness testing of our new pressure switches. We’ve been working towards release of this product for awhile, and we’ll unvail more about it as the process wraps up. This testing is one of the last hurdles to pass before getting this product ready for the market. The testing took 2 days to complete and had several requirements.
Required tests included cycling our pressure switch 20,000 times, testing them at very high and low temperatures (-5°F — 130°F), and applying 1000 volts to prove their durability. Our team was anxious about hosting an FM representative for the first time, but everything went well and the representative was very complimentary towards our crew’s efforts.
There was a lot of preparation that went into this testing, and we’d like to thank our team members for their hard work, and congratulate them for successfully passing the FM Approvals test. There are still some audits to pass, but we’re confident these pressure switches will be ready for release in the very near future!
