If you’ve been following us on social media, you’ve probably seen the animations we’ve posted in the last several months. From short, light-hearted holiday greetings, to full length instructional videos; our marketing team has been busy creating unique visuals to enhance our marketing efforts.
For the last 12 weeks, our marketing assistant Nick has been taking a course on the Principles of Animation through the School of Motion. This is a course to help motion designers further develop their animation abilities by practicing the fundamentals of animated motion. Nick successfully completed the course and received his credentials through School of Motion. Olsträd has invested in this training because we would like to make more animations to help customers with questions about setting up, using, and troubleshooting products.
During his training, Nick has been using an older MacBook Pro. The computer is frequently pushed to its limits by Nick’s animation; the computer’s fan can often be heard sounding like a jet engine ready to take off.
Last week, we upgraded his MacBook Pro to a brand new Mac Studio! Nick has already begun testing the Mac Studio by having multiple creative programs running. There’s been zero lag or sound coming from the computer fans. Blender 3D is one of the most memory-intensive programs, and the Mac Studio runs without a hitch, even with major rendering.
We view the Mac Studio as an investment towards the same goal, to create videos and animations that are useful and fun for our customers. We hope you enjoy the animations and tutorials we’ve been posting. Look for more exciting videos in the future!
